Busan English Library expands English reading program
Busan English Library offers "Fun Reading with Volunteers," a storytelling program for children. It is led by volunteers, including retirees, parents, and college students, who read English books to kids aged 6 to 10.
The program is so popular that the library added more sessions. The story times are held twice daily from Tuesday to Friday at 3:20 and 4:10 p.m. in the World for Kids room. Each 40-minute session can accommodate 10 students on a first-come, first-served basis.
In addition, BEL donated 300 books to Donggu Children's English Library to provide greater access to English education. Now, more Busan children can borrow English books.
