See Busan in a new way

dd

The Busan Architecture Tour runs from March 2024 to February 2025. Citizens and tourists are welcome to join a walk led by an architectural and cultural commentator.

There are four courses to choose from:

1) Architecture Tour in Centum City

An overview of Busan’s modern urban architecture. Buildings include the Busan Museum of Art, BEXCO, the Shinsegae Centum City Mall, and the Busan Cinema Center.

2) Architecture Tour in U.N.-Culture Zone

A detailed exploration of Busan during and after the Korean War, featuring sites such as the Busan Cultural Center, the U.N. Memorial Cemetery, the National Museum of Forced Mobilization under Japanese Occupation, and the United Nations Peace Memorial Hall.

3) Architecture Tour in Old Town

A look at Busan’s storied past—and budding future—via the historic downtown. Buildings include the Baeksan Memorial Hall and the Busan Provincial Meteorological Administration, among others.

4) Architecture Tour in History and Tradition

A glimpse of Busan’s traditional and historical landmarks, such as the Janggwan-cheong (Office of Military Affairs), the Dongnae-bu Magistrate’s Office, and the Dongnae-hyanggyo Local Confucian School.

Tours begin at 2 p.m. on Saturdays and 10 a.m. on Sundays; each course takes roughly two and a half hours to complete. Each tour can accommodate three to 10 people and costs 5,000 won per person, which includes a souvenir. Groups of 11 or more can book weekday tours upon request.

For individuals who want to join, visit the official website of the Busan International Architecture Festival. For large groups that want to book a weekday tour, call the secretariat below.
