English Library hosts kids' storytime
The Busan English Library in Busanjin-gu District is the first public English-only library in the nation. It provides educational opportunities and materials for all citizens. The Library operates several programs to promote English reading ability.
Fun Reading with Volunteers is a storytelling program for children ages 6 to 10 that runs through the end of the year. Volunteers read English books to children every Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday at 3:20 and 4:10 p.m. Up to 10 children can participate in each 40-minute session. No reservations are required; to participate, just show up t the Story Club room in the World for Kids section of the library.
In addition, the library is hosting "Enjoy Poems & Quotes" until Feb.18. Anyone can submit their favorite English-language poem or quote to the submission box at the entrance of the World for Kids room. Selected entries will be showcased by the library. Participants may win a gift via a lottery event.
