The 2023 KB Good Job: Busan Job Festival will take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Oct. 18 at BEXCO in Haeundae-gu district. The event, a collaboration between KB Kookmin Bank and Busan City, aims to help individuals take the next step in their careers.
Two hundred public organizations and private companies will be on hand to provide information on job openings and recruit new talent.
The opening ceremony begins at 11 a.m. Busan Mayor Park Heong-joon, KB Kookmin Bank President Lee Jae Keun, and Olympic gold medalist Yuna Kim will attend and encourage job seekers.
During the fair, companies will conduct on-site interviews and provide consultations for potential employees.
In addition, the expo will operate the “Blind Recruitment Hall,” which debuted at the KB Good Job: Seoul Job Festival earlier this year. To reduce any stigma attached to small- and medium-sized organizations, potential employers do not expose their company names. Instead, officials present keywords related to their companies, which may include the industry the company is in, the duties and responsibilities of a job opening, or the salary and benefits it offers.
As an added incentive, individuals and participating companies will receive a special benefit for new hires resulting from the festival. New employees and the hiring companies will receive special subsidies for employment over six months. Busan City and other job organizations will provide 1 million won to individuals, and 10 million won to companies.
Finally, the first 300 people to secure an interview during the job fair will be given 10,000 won to support their job search.
Alongside the 2023 KB Good Job: Busan Job Festival, Busan City and the Ministry of Employment and Labor will also hold the 2023 Come and See Festival at BEXCO’s outdoor plaza.
The Come and See Festival will also take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Oct. 18. Visitors can experience first-hand what it is like to work in Busan’s leading industries, such as shipbuilding, shoe manufacturing, seafood procurement, tourism and MICE.
Additionally, some of Busan’s most sought-after employers, such as BNK Busan Bank, Seonbo Industrial, Ananti Cove, Korea Southern Power Company, and Korea Asset Management Corporation, will conduct on-site interviews and recruitment.
With two job expos happening concurrently, there is no better place to be than BEXCO on Oct. 18 if you need to boost your career.
