부산국제건축ㅊ제

The 2023 Busan International Architecture Festival will take place from Sept. 20 to 24 at BEXCO, Haeundae-gu district.

This year’s theme is “Busan Style – Busan Lifestyle and Architecture.” The festival will explore how architectural trends inform the city’s public and private spaces.

Various exhibitions and talks by renowned architects will be on hand to engage visitors on the importance of architecture and its role in our daily lives.

Dr. Andreas Kleinau, the chief executive officer of HafenCity Hamburg GmbH, will give a special lecture at 11 a.m. on Sept. 20. Later that day, Winy Maas, acclaimed Dutch architect and founding partner of architecture firm MVRDV, will speak at 2 p.m. Both lectures will be interpreted for Korean audiences.

The lectures can accommodate up to 200 individuals. One hundred seats can be reserved online via the festival’s official website, while the other 100 seats will be given to visitors on a first-come, first-served basis on the day of the lecture.

Other events throughout the festival include talks on the latest trends in interior decoration, previews of the North Port rejuvenation project and children’s craft-making.
