The 10th Busan Global Webtoon Festival runs from Friday, Oct. 30, to Sunday, Nov. 1, at the Busan Cultural Content Complex in Haeundae-gu District, with opening-day events held nearby at  Museum 1.

About 190 webtoon artists from Korea and abroad will present some 800 works under the theme “Ten Years, One Story.” Marking the festival’s 10th anniversary, this year’s edition features special exhibitions on its history alongside programs for fans and aspiring artists.

The exhibitions fill the first and second floors of the Busan Global Webtoon Center inside the complex. Visitors can trace the festival’s 10-year run through posters from past editions and explore works showcasing the styles of Korean and international artists.

Friday’s program takes place at Museum 1. It begins at 3 p.m. with a special talk show featuring Belgian artist Alix Garin and Scottish artist Tony O’Donnell, followed by the opening ceremony at 5 p.m.

Over the weekend, the complex’s first-floor stage hosts a talk show with international artists on Saturday and a digital drawing talk show on Sunday, where artists will demonstrate their techniques live. Korean and international artists will also hold live drawing sessions throughout the venue.

On Saturday at 3 p.m., Busan English Broadcasting’s BeFM will hold a live public broadcast, “Webtoon Meets Music!”, on the first-floor stage. Local universities will run booths on the second floor, and visitors who tour them all can collect stamps for a gift.

On Sunday, hands-on activities for all ages include caricatures and a drawing exchange on the second floor and a family comic-drawing contest on the fourth floor. At the Webtoon Counseling Center on the third floor, students interested in webtoons can meet professional artists for practical advice on career paths and creative work. Sessions run from noon to 5 p.m., and visitors can sign up on-site.

Admission is free. Exhibitions are open daily from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. For program schedules and details, visit the festival’s official website.
