Missing Busan? Download a piece of the city for your phone

Give your phone and computer a local touch with Busankku, a new Busan City website offering downloadable wallpapers, profile images and short videos inspired by the city’s landmarks, festivals and culture.
Busankku (부산꾸) taps into the popularity of digital collectibles and device customization, especially among Generation Z.
The website arrives as interest in Busan grows among Korean and international travelers. Some visitors want to return long after their trip ends, a feeling playfully dubbed “Busan Syndrome.”
Busankku lets them keep a piece of the city in their pocket.
The city collaborated with local artists to create illustrated and animated wallpapers of the city’s tourism hotspots, including Gwangalli Beach and Geumjeongsan National Park. The collection also features Boogi, Busan’s mascot, in a range of outfits and everyday roles.
The website includes photos of Busan’s varied landscapes and cityscapes.
Users can browse by theme or district, choosing the memories they want to keep close at hand.
