Domoheon opens Chuseok weekend with jazz, traditional games
Domoheon, a cultural complex in Sueyong-gu District, will open Sept. 26-27 for the Chuseok holiday with jazz, traditional games and children's programs.
The venue will be closed Sept. 24 and 25. It will open at 10 a.m. Sept. 26 and run until 8 p.m. and will close at 6 p.m. Sept. 27. The main building, Sosopung Garden and cafe will all be open. A short trip from the city center, the landscaped grounds offer a tranquil place to spend the holiday.
The outdoor concert "Busan, Soaked in Jazz 2" will run from 5 to 6 p.m. on Sept. 26. Admission is free on-site, first come, first served, for the first 300 people.
Booths at the main building and Sosopung Garden will offer traditional Korean games. Also on Sept. 26, a free Sosopung Garden program will invite children to make flower baskets and listen to plant sounds. Pre-register on the Domoheon website.
The Deullak Nallak Children's Library near the entrance will be closed Sept. 24-26 and will reopen Sept. 27.
Shuttle buses will run every 30 minutes from Exit 1 of Namcheon Station on Metro Line 2. Parking will be free from 9:30 a.m. to 8:15 p.m. on Sept. 26 and from 9:30 a.m. to 6:15 p.m. on Sept. 27.
