French orchestra to perform at Busan Concert Hall
The Orchestre National de Metz Grand Est will perform at Busan Concert Hall at 3 p.m. on Sept. 20 as part of celebrations marking 140 years of diplomatic relations between Korea and France.
The program features works by Claude Debussy, Maurice Ravel and Camille Saint-Saëns.
Conductor David Reiland will lead the orchestra. Reiland is familiar to Korean audiences from his tenure as artistic director and chief conductor of the Korean National Symphony Orchestra from 2021 to 2025.
Organist Lucile Dollat joins the program. She won the Grand Prix and the Audience Prize at the André Marchal-Gaston Litaize International Organ Competition in Paris in 2017 and has been the organ artist in residence at the Radio France Auditorium since 2022.
Her playing will fill Busan Concert Hall with the sound of its pipe organ, a treat for concertgoers who have never heard the instrument.
