Apply now: Busan’s Korean language mentorship program for international students

mentee

The Busan Global City Foundation (BGCF) is accepting applications for 30 mentees to join its Korean language mentorship program. Interested individuals should apply by noon on July 27. Applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.

The two-month program, running from August to September, pairs international students with local mentors to improve their Korean proficiency and ease their adjustment to university and daily life in Busan through cultural exchange.

After applications close, BGCF will review submissions, confirm eligibility and match mentors with mentees based on their stated preferences and interests. Both parties will be notified of their pairing by email.

Mentors and mentees must meet at least once a month. Beyond language practice, the program offers mentees opportunities to explore the city, take part in local events and build friendships with their mentors. Participants who complete the program will receive a certificate from BGCF.

Because withdrawing or failing to participate actively affects both the mentor and the program's operations, applicants are asked to confirm their full commitment before applying.

Applications can be submitted via the linked Google Form. For more details, visit the BGCF website.
