World-class music, starting at 10,000 won: Nakdong Art Center Summer Orchestra Festival

The Nakdong Art Center will host the NAC Summer Orchestra Festival throughout July. Featuring a distinguished lineup of acclaimed artists, this festival aims to make high-quality classical music accessible to all residents. Each performance offers a perfect summer evening escape, accompanied by the rich sound of live orchestral music.
The festival brings together six orchestras, including the Nakdong Arts Center Festival Orchestra, which comprises musicians from Busan and neighboring regions.
This year’s lineup also features two internationally acclaimed pianists with ties to the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition: Aristo Sham from Hong Kong, winner of the latest edition, and Korea’s Yeol Eum Son, who won second place in 2009.
From globally celebrated artists to promising local talents, the festival presents a diverse range of performances that transport audiences beyond the summer heat into the enchanting world of classical music.
True to its role as a public cultural venue, the Nakdong Art Center offers exceptional value throughout the festival, with tickets for nearly all performances priced at just 10,000 won. The only exception is Yeol Eum Son’s special performance on July 3, with ticket prices ranging from 30,000 to 80,000 won depending on seating.

Beyond the festival itself, the Nakdong Art Center serves as a key cultural hub for western Busan.
