ORT League helps students develop English reading skills

6-2cw8

Busan Global Village in Busanjin-gu district is conducting the "ORT League," an educational program for elementary students. Based on Oxford Reading Tree, a series of English books published by Oxford University Press, the program aims to develop children's phonics, vocabulary and reading skills.
The fall semester will run every Saturday from Sept. 9 to Dec. 9. Any elementary student who meets the minimum level of English proficiency can participate. A total of 12 classes will be provided, and students can attend a morning session from 9:30 a.m. to 12:40 p.m., or afternoon session from 1:20 to 4:30 p.m.
Tuition for the program is 450,000 won. Students should also purchase the required textbooks before class begins. Textbooks may be purchased at a discount online at inbooks.co.kr.
To ensure the best learning experience, all potential students must take a placement test and enroll for the course appropriate to their English proficiency. Interested students and their families can take the test on the Global Village website, bgv.co.kr, or schedule an appointment by calling 051-980-8500.
