The Busan English Digital Library lets members read English books at home or on the go.
Are you looking for English-language books for yourself or your kids? Look no further! Become a Busan English Digital Library member and gain free access to English books for the whole family.
Operated by the Busan English Library, the Busan English Digital Library is the first public e-library in Korea. It boasts a collection of over 13,000 digital books and audiobooks covering literature, culture, technology and more. Award-winning novels, New York Times Best Sellers and other esteemed titles can be borrowed with a single click.
The e-library also offers subscription services for domestic e-book providers such as Kyobo, Aladin, Bookcube and others.
Any legally registered resident who holds a Busan library card can become a member. Individuals can sign up for a library card at the nearest branch or online (library.busan.go.kr).
Members can borrow up to three e-books or audiobooks at a time, which are automatically returned seven days after the check-out date. Members can also place holds on books already loaned out and receive them once available.
Access to the collection is available through its website (digibel.overdrive.com) and various smartphone apps.
