Gwangalli has transformed into a dynamic and vibrant beach filled with adventurous individuals eager to partake in ocean activities. Visitors can enjoy kayaking, surfing and standup paddleboarding; if those activities are too slow, jet boarding and various motorboat experiences are also available.
For those looking to relax and chill out, restaurants, cafes and pubs line the seaside. During the summer, the area's main strip becomes a vehicle-free zone from 9 to 11:30 p.m. on weekends until Aug. 27. For pedestrians, the area becomes a safe place to enjoy the atmosphere of summer joy.
Visitors also flock to Gwangalli to watch the "M Drone Light Show," which has become the gold standard of drone shows since its regular, year-round performances began in April 2022. A 12-minute performance takes place every Saturday at 8 and 10 p.m.

Songdo Beach

Songdo Beach
Songdo Beach holds the distinction of being Korea's first public beach, established in 1913. The beach offers unique attractions, including sculptures, a diving platform, and waterfalls. The biggest skywalk in Busan, Songdo Cloud Trails, provides an up-close observation of the ocean thanks to the safe, tempered glass on some parts of the bridge. The 365-meter walkway connects to Geobukseom Island, the site of a local legend, a love story between the daughter of a sea dragon and a fisherman.
There's another way to enjoy Songdo Beach from above; the Songdo Sea Cable car, also known as the Busan Air Cruise, crosses the sky from Songlim Park east of Songdo Beach to Amnam Park west of Songdo Beach. The cable car route spans 1.62 kilometers and reaches a height of 86 meters, providing a stunning panoramic view of the surrounding area.
◎How to get there: Jagalchi Station (metro line 1), exit 2. Walk down Chungmu-daero for about 50 meters until you see a bus stop where you take buses 26, 30, 71 or 96 to Songdo Beach.

Dadaepo Beach sunset

Dadaepo Beach
Located at the mouth of the Nakdonggang River, the shores are composed of accumulated sediment. The resulting sand is soft and easy on the feet. The area's shallow and warmer-than-average water also makes it a good place for families with children to enjoy. Unlike other beaches across the city, Dadaepo has tidal flats, where crabs, clams and other creatures scurry about.
Dadaepo Beach also has natural wonders that the other beaches lack. The Gouni Eco Trail, a 600-meter-long wooden walkway, offers views of the wetlands, sandy beach and reedbeds. Walking the trail gives one the sensation of walking between the sky and the ocean. In addition, Morundae Peninsula, a national geopark, offers dense pine forests and a coastal landscape with unique rock formations.
Finally, Dadaepo Beach is renowned for its amber sunrises and golden sunsets, making it the perfect place to start and end your day.
◎How to get there: Dadaepo Beach Station (metro line 1), exit 2 or 4.
