Suneung, an abbreviation for College Scholastic Ability Test, will take place on Nov. 14. Busan and the Ministry of Education will take precautionary measures to support the students taking the national college entrance exam.

Office workers will report to work later than usual, at 10 a.m., to avoid traffic jams, ensuring students can arrive at exam centers without delay. Police will also be present on city streets to help when necessary. Cars must also stay 200 meters away from testing sites to avoid congestion.

The city will do its best to minimize noise during the English listening section of the exam, which starts around 1:10 p.m. and lasts approximately 25 minutes. During this time, military training will be suspended, airplanes will not take off or land, and drivers are asked to refrain from using vehicle horns.

Starting Nov. 8, the Korea Meteorological Administration will provide detailed weather information on testing sites nationwide to help test takers prepare for the big day.
