The 2024 Busan International Rock Festival will take place from Oct. 4 to 6 at Samnak Ecological Park. Since its inception in 2000, the festival has electrified audiences against the backdrop of the pristine Nakdong Estuary.
The festival billing includes beloved acts from around the world. English rock band Kasabian headlines the first night. The Leicester group is a staple of U.K. music festivals, celebrated for their danceable rock grooves, infectious guitar riffs and catchy melodies. On Oct. 5, English singer-songwriter Anne-Marie takes top billing while Japanese rock band Ellegarden headlines the final day.
Throughout the festival, some of Korea’s top musicians will take the stage, including sibling duo AKMU; rock groups F.T. Island, Guckkasten, Jannabi, CN Blue and Glen Check; and singer-songwriter and hometown darling Kwon Jin-ah.
International acts include Japanese rock band Frederic, Thai artists Palmy and Phum Viphurit, Filipino musician Jose Miguel, British pop band Mamas Gun and more.
1-Day, 2-Day and 3-Day passes are available through Yes24. The festival offers intercity travel options through the Kakao T app for those attending from outside Busan. Those interested in camping near the festival area can reserve a site by visiting the Nakdong River Auto Camping website at 1 p.m. daily to see if any spots are available.
