Busan English Broadcasting, commonly known as BeFM, presents “All-Star English,” a new radio program to promote the English-Friendly City campaign.

“All-Star English,” which premiered on Feb. 19, is an “edutainment” program that makes learning English easy and fun. It airs Monday through Friday, 6:08 to 8 p.m., and boasts a stellar lineup of hosts, including Minsoo Shin, one of BeFM’s most prominent broadcasters; R&B singer Johan Kim, who serves as Busan City's ambassador for the English-Friendly City policy; Asia Lee Campbell, the Youth Ambassador for Public Relations of the United Nations Memorial Cemetery Korea; and Boogi, Busan's beloved seagull mascot.

Each two-hour episode features various segments to teach audience members practical English expressions. Content includes sing-alongs with Johan Kim, discussions on the generation gap with Asia Lee Campbell and lessons on using English in daily life with Park Seong Eun, Busan’s small business ambassador.

In addition, Boogi will encourage listeners. Like many audience members, Boogi is hesitant about learning a new skill; together, Boogi and listeners can find inspiration and motivation to boost their English fluency.

“All-Star English” airs on radio frequency FM 90.5. Listeners in Gijang-gun County and the Noksan area can tune into FM 103.3. For those who miss the live show, rebroadcasts air Tuesday through Saturday, 5 to 7 a.m. The show is also available on BeFM’s official website, YouTube channel, mobile app and the podcast platform Podbbang.
