BMCHM offers students an inside look at history

뮤캉스

Busan Modern & Contemporary History Museum will run a winter vacation program for elementary school students from Feb. 20 to 24. The program, dubbed “Mucance” (Museum+Vacance), will offer exciting activities for children to learn about Busan history.

Under the theme of “Transformation of Busan Port,” students will role-play historical figures to gain first-hand knowledge of the city’s history. Students will take the “gwageo,” the historic National Civil Service Exam. Successful students will receive an appointment letter to work as “gamriseo” or international trade officials during the Joseon Dynasty.

The program will take place twice a day, from 1 to 2:30 p.m. and from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Each session can accommodate 14 students. Students in fourth through sixth grade can participate.

Registration begins at 10 a.m. on Feb. 13 on the BMCHM website.
