English Consultation Center to open at BGV

Busan Global Village officially launches the Busan English Consultation Center on Feb. 6. The center provides free English proficiency tests and study consultation for elementary and middle school students. 

The program’s trial period, held between October and December last year, was well received. Participants gave positive reviews and were highly satisfied with the education consultation given by BGV staff. As a result, BGV will permanently open the Busan English Consultation Center and expand the program to reach more students. Children 7 and younger will be able to participate later this year.

At the center, students have their English-speaking skills evaluated during a 10-minute one-on-one conversation with a native English speaker. Other skills, such as grammar and vocabulary, are assessed via a 30-minute written test administered by a professional English instructor. 

After determining a student’s English proficiency, educators will provide counseling and a customized study plan for each participant. Counseling will take 20 to 30 minutes per child.

Interested students can take the speaking and written test on Wednesdays or Fridays. Those who only want to take the speaking evaluation can visit on Tuesdays or Thursdays. Only four students per day can take the tests. Assessment reservations can be made up to two weeks in advance.
