Yongdusan Park, one of the landmarks in Busan, will be transformed into a media park utilizing artificial intelligence and metaverse in January.
Yongdusan Media Park will reinterpret the historical meaning of the park while implementing new trendy content.
A media façade will be installed in four spots across the park. Various video clips featuring tourist spots in Busan, including Sanbok Road, will be presented. A mega-size media wall, 20 meters wide and 4 meters high, will offer metaverse content, making visitors feel like they are flying in the sky and looking around the park. Visitors using the “Meta World” program can experience the park in different timelines and make their characters feel like they are playing mobile games.
In addition, an AI-Kiosk based on Chat GPT and AR technology will offer tourism information and others.
Busan Diamond Tower in Yongdusan Park was selected for the “Top 100 Nighttime Attractions in Korea” (대한민국 밤밤곡곡 100선), a list of must-visit places compiled by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Tourism Organization.
