Dongbaek Pass offers steep discounts on mass transit
On Aug. 1, Busan City will launch the Dongbaek Pass, the first integrated public transportation discount system in the country. For mass transit users whose transportation expenses exceed 45,000 won, the excess amount will be refunded. The discount program is available for use on city and village buses, metro lines 1 to 4, the Donghae Line and Busan-Gimhae Light Rail Transit.
The maximum amount available for refund is 45,000 won per month. For example, transit users that spend 90,000 won on transportation fees in August will receive a 45,000 won grant in September.
To enjoy these benefits, you must have the Dongbaek Jeon Transportation Debit Card(postpaid transportation). Once you have the card, simply join the Dongbaek Pass service on the Dongbaek Jeon mobile app. For more information, visit the Dongbaek Jeon website (busandong100.kr).
