Korea, the mecca of esports, will host Worlds 2023, the championship tournament held at the conclusion of the 2023 League of Legends esports season. Busan Metropolitan City and Riot Games, the developer and publisher of League of Legends, will welcome the best LoL players from around the world in November.

The LoL World Championship is the pinnacle of LoL esports and the dream stage for League of Legends esports players. Worlds 2023 will invite 22 teams from nine regions around the globe to compete for the game’s most prestigious title in three stages of competition: Play-Ins, Swiss and Knockouts. The stages will be played in both Busan and Seoul.

The tournament in Busan consists of the quarterfinals from Nov. 2 to 5 and the semifinals from Nov. 11 to 12, both rounds being played at Sajik Indoor Gymnasium in Dongnae-gu district. Busan previously cohosted the LoL Worlds 2018 and Worlds 2014. In May 2022, the city was also the site for the 2022 Mid-Season Invitational, one of the biggest LoL events of the year.
