To reduce traffic congestion, construction has started on new roads connecting Gwangandaegyo Bridge to Centum City and Haeundae New Town. Busan held a groundbreaking ceremony for the Gwangan Bridge Access Road Connection Construction on March 20 at Olympic Park in Haeundae-gu.

The construction is expected to be completed by December 2025. It will include a 276-meter access ramp connecting the BEXCO Tollgate to Centum City Underpass and a 284-meter underpass connecting the Centum City Underpass to Olympic Park Junction.

Upon completion, vehicles traveling from Jangsan-ro in Haeundae-gu to Wondong Interchange in Dongnae-gu will be able to take the Centum City Underpass directly, without going through the Olympic Park Junction nor Centum City Intersection.

In addition, vehicles traveling on Suyeong Riverside Road will not have to pass through Centum City Intersection to reach Olympic Park Junction, significantly reducing traffic congestion in the area.

The project is expected to provide a more efficient, safe and convenient travel experience for motorists.
