[Busan is Ready!] BIE: ‘Busan has everything it takes to host the World Expo’

Following a three-day on-site inspection to evaluate Busan's readiness and candidacy for hosting the 2030 World Expo, the on-site delegation of the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE) announced that "Busan has everything that it takes to host the World Expo."
The envoys also appreciated their warm welcome in Busan and the city's enthusiastic citizens. "One thing I noticed about Busan was its incredible warmth," one of the delegates said, noting that he had not seen such enthusiasm elsewhere.
During their visit, the delegation reviewed the “Busan Initiative,” an international cooperation project that is a significant aspect of Busan’s bid. The envoys praised the city's efforts, saying that the initiatives are in line with the spirit of the World Expo.
Busan Mayor Park Heong-joon expected a positive review from the BIE delegation regarding the city’s ability to play host and stated, “We have shown them that ‘Busan is ready’ for the World Expo 2030 Busan.”
