The Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries and Busan Port Authority will temporarily open Busan North Port to the public from April 3 to 6, while delegates from the Bureau International des Expositions, or BIE, visit Busan. The envoys are part of the World Expo’s decision-making authority and will be here to assess the feasibility and viability of Busan’s candidature.

During this opening period, citizens will have access to various events. A kayaking experience will be conducted three times a day from April 3 to 6. The kayaking experience involves a two-person kayak ride along the North Port’s waterfront park. While participation is free, reservations must be made in advance. Anyone can participate; however, children between 5 and 10 must ride with a guardian.

A drone light show will also be presented at 8 p.m. on April 6. The show will express welcoming messages to the BIE delegates.

Other events being prepared for this time include the North Port Walking Challenge and the Paper Boat Lantern Campaign. The Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries and the Busan Port Authority look forward to welcoming visitors to the brand-new North Port.
