To commemorate the 50th anniversary of its opening, the Busan Cultural Center will present “Giselle,” performed by the Universal Ballet Company on April 7 and 8.

“Giselle” first premiered in Paris in 1841 and has been performed season after season on stages worldwide. The classical French masterpiece portrays the innocent peasant girl Giselle, her betrayal by the nobleman Albrecht, and their enduring love, even in death. As a 19th-century creation, the ballet is characterized by Gothic elements of romance, mystery and the supernatural. Audiences around the world remain enthralled by the complex choreography, difficult technique and iconic white tutus featured on stage.

Tickets can be purchased on the Busan Cultural Center’s official website (bscc.or.kr). The show is only suitable for audience members aged 7 and up.
