Volunteers from around the world will gather in Busan next year. Busan Metropolitan City won the bid to host the 2024 World Volunteer Conference in November, the biggest event of its kind, making it the second time it will be held in Korea. More than 1,400 participants from 80 countries are expected to come.

City Hall, in collaboration with the Ministry of Public Administration and Security and the Busan Tourism Organization, is preparing a variety of programs, including forums, events and exhibitions to highlight the cultures of participating nations. Additionally, a new paradigm of volunteer activities will be introduced, aimed at solving societal problems such as carbon neutrality.
