In March, a drive-in theater where you can watch movies outdoors on the largest screen in Korea will open in Yeongdo-gu (district). The Busan Tourism Organization (BTO) announced that an outdoor theater accommodating approximately 150 automobiles would open in Zone 7-2 of the Taejongdae Amusement Park parking lot.

The theater is expected to be a hub for culture and tourism where visitors can enjoy tourist locales and film in the growingly popular area. Not only is the Taejongdae Drive-in Theater the first movie theater in Yeongdo-gu, but moviegoers can experience cutting-edge 4K high-definition video and Dolby stereo sound on the country's only screen of such magnitude.

A connected pop-up store and photo zone, featuring various Busan souvenirs, are scheduled upon commencement. After the opening ceremony, the BTO plans to host free trial screenings for a week for Busan residents before officially opening later this year.
