Busan Metropolitan City and the Busan Foundation for International Cooperation (BFIC) are recruiting civil activists to contribute to the "English-friendly city" initiative. The project aims to make Busan a global hub and secure its bid for the World Expo 2030. The team, consisting of 20 foreign and 20 Korean residents, will work to create an English-friendly environment and lower the cost of English language learning for residents.

After the document review and interview process, 40 activists will be selected March 13. Following their induction, the selected members will begin their duties to policy proposals and share their thoughts and ideas and continue till December 2023. They must attend various events, such as forums and discussions hosted by the city, BFIC and Busan English Broadcasting (BEFM), to advocate for the "English-friendly city" policy. Participants will receive certificates, merchandise, business cards and other benefits. The best participants will be entered to receive a commendation from Busan Mayor Park Heong-joon.

Those who wish to apply may do so via email (busanglobalcitizen@gmail.com) or the BFIC's official website (bfic.kr).

For further questions or concerns, please contact the BFIC's Global Center (82-1577-7716); Korean, English, Vietnamese, Indonesian, Russian and Uzbek language services are available.
