Run, chase, repeat: Taejongdae goes undead for Halloween

Taejongdae draws walkers, cyclists and tour buses. On Halloween, it gets 4,000 zombies.
The 2026 Taejongdae BEAT ON Zombie Race sends costumed runners along a 4-kilometer course through Taejongdae’s coastal trails, starting at 4:44 p.m.
The race will be centered on CGV Drive-In Yeongdo, where participants will gather at 3:30 p.m. The course will climb past the observatory and Taejongsa Temple before finishing at the drive-in parking lot.
The run will be only part of the night. In the "Chase the 30 Humans" mission, zombie runners will hunt down 30 human participants. A "NewJeansNim EDM Party" will feature the Buddhism-themed DJ act, and a costume contest will reward the most striking zombie look. A performance from the upper deck of a Busan City Tour Bus will round out the lineup.
Early-bird tickets cost 39,000 won for the first 1,000 entrants and are available only with Quick Pay (퀵결제). Another 1,000 special-rate tickets are available for 45,000 won, followed by 2,000 regular tickets for 50,000 won. The race is capped at 4,000 participants.
