Avenged Sevenfold headlines 2026 Busan Rock Festival this October
The 2026 Busan International Rock Festival returns to Samnak Ecological Park from Oct. 2 to 4. Since its launch in 2000, the festival has electrified rock fans with global headliners and beloved Korean acts.
Leading the bill is American heavy metal powerhouse Avenged Sevenfold. Also known as A7X, the band returns to Korea more than a decade after performing in Seoul.
Also slated to perform is Songolmae, one of Korea’s most influential rock bands, whose legacy has spanned generations since its debut in 1979.
Japanese acts will also bring their distinctive sounds to the festival. CreepHyp will make their Korea debut at the Busan Rock Festival, while reunited band Suchmos returns with its signature blend of groove-driven city pop and rock. Alternative outfit Hitsujibungaku will introduce audiences to Japanese shoegaze, a genre known for its layered, atmospheric sound.
Korean favorites CNBLUE, Australia’s rising indie act Spacey Jane, and Busan-based performers Band Kirin and Hathaw9y round out the bill.
Travel packages that combine festival admission and shuttle bus transportation are available via the Kakao T app. The service provides a convenient and affordable way to travel between Busan and other major cities.
Meanwhile, according to data compiled by the Korea Performing Arts Box Office Information System (KOPIS), the Busan International Rock Festival recorded the highest attendance among domestic music festivals last year. Building on that momentum, the festival is stepping up efforts to strengthen its global presence and attract more overseas visitors. Its initiatives include expanded multilingual services, the development of travel packages for international audiences, and broader promotional campaigns in overseas markets.
