BE LOCAL with Busan and Naver
Busan City and Naver have joined forces to roll out the “BE LOCAL” campaign, running through July 19. Under the banner of “Experience Busan like a true local,” this initiative allows internationnienal visitors to conveniently discover beloved hot spots across the city.
Organized in partnership with Naver, Korea’s leading search engine and digital platform, the campaign uses Naver Maps to spotlight restaurants, cafes, bakeries, services and shops popular with international visitors.
Visitors must download the Naver Maps app; in the app, the BE LOCAL tab showcases over 300 businesses, including Michelin Guide-rated restaurants and trendy shopping destinations. In addition, the app provides real-time navigation, including travel options, routes, times and estimated costs. Information is available in Korean, English and Chinese.
Users who create a Naver account (passport required) will also gain access to discount, coupon, reservation and payment systems in the Naver Maps app.
