Visit Busan Pass gets better and better

Visit Busan Pass, offered by Busan Metropolitan City and the Busan Tourism Organization, will provide more benefits to international visitors. The pass offers significant discounts on local tourist attractions and public transportation exclusively to foreign tourists in the city.

With its high star rating and positive reviews, the Visit Busan Pass has become a favorite among international tourists. In response, Busan and the BTO are strategically expanding the Visit Busan Pass program, aiming to attract an even larger number of foreign visitors.

First, the city will partner with foreign travel agencies to create itineraries for group tours, medical tourism, business travel and MICE tourism. Busan has already established partnerships with Japanese travel companies, and discussions with Chinese tour companies are underway.

As part of its expansion, Visit Busan Pass is enhancing its online presence. In collaboration with the private sector, international visitors can now easily purchase a 24-hour Visit Pass, exchange currency for Korean Won and apply for tax refunds at smart kiosks located throughout the city. These kiosks will be conveniently placed at popular locations like Busan Station and the Nampodong area. The Pass will also be accessible via Busan Pay, a smartphone application designed specifically for foreign tourists. Busan Pay is part of the local Dongbaek Jeon financial system.

Furthermore, global online tour agencies, including Trip.com, KKday, Klook Travel, Rakuten Travel and others, will offer special Visit Busan Pass promotions.

Third, the number of Visit Busan Pass-affiliated businesses will be expanded. Starting June 1, local companies offering surfing classes, yacht tours, and Hanbok rentals will join the program. These businesses will join the 36 tourist attractions already offering exclusive discounts to foreign travelers.

Finally, 160 shopping and dining establishments citywide will offer deals and benefits to Visit Busan Pass holders. These include Michelin-starred restaurants and Olive Young, Korea’s top health and beauty retail chain.
