Busan Museum is hosting a special exhibition, "Generous Collectors: The Joy of Sharing the Pleasure of Collecting," until July 7.
The exhibition showcases antiques, artifacts and art from the personal collections of Korea's most significant business leaders. The pieces displayed come from corporate titans such as Lee Byung-chull, the founder of Samsung Group; Suh Sung-whan, the founder of AmorePacific Corporation; Hyun Soo Myeong, the founder of Hwaseung Group; and Shin Sung-soo of the Nulwon Cultural Foundation.
The show also includes 10 National Treasures. Visitors can view a Celadon Lidded Prunus Vase with Incised Lotus Design, Kim Hong-do's painting "Three Dukes" (Samgongbul-hwando) and others.
During the exhibition period, Busan Museum will hold a variety of events to give visitors a deeper understanding of the works on display. Jeong Seung-chang, director of the AmorePacific Museum of Art, will give a presentation titled "Making a Beautiful World; Collections of AmorePacific Museum of Art" at 2 p.m. on June 13.
The exhibition curator will lecture on the pieces in the show at 3 p.m. on May 31 and June 29.
