Busan City is hosting the New Media Contents Contest to gather promotion ideas for the city’s new slogan, “Busan is good.” The contest is open to Korean citizens and registered foreigners, either working individually or in teams. Submissions will be accepted until Oct. 6, 2023.

To join the contest, participants must make social media content using the catchphrase “Busan is good for [category].” The categories include “15-minute City,” “Family-friendly City,” “Carbon Neutral City,” “Global Hub City,” and “Digital Innovation and Financial City.”

Participants can apply by creating card news (posts that combine text, photos and videos over multiple slides), videos, pictures or other relevant media and posting them on Instagram and/or YouTube. Each submission must be accompanied by the following hashtags: #부산뉴미디어공모전 #busanisgood #the category of your content.

In addition, contestants must download and submit an official application. The application and other relevant information can be found on BADA TV, Busan’s official internet broadcast site.

A total of 23 works will be selected among the submissions, including 19 posts and four videos. The results will be announced in November via Busan’s official social media channels and BADA TV. Winners will share a prize of 9 million won, with the top submissions will also receive special recognition from the mayor.
