Mandeokchoeup (Asiad) Tunnel opens July 1

The Mandeokchoeup (Asiad) Tunnel is now open and links Deokcheon-dong, Buk-gu district to Yeonje-gu district. This tunnel serves as a section of the four-lane, 4,370-meter road between Hambakbong-ro in Buk-gu to World Cup Street in Yeonje-gu.
With the new tunnel, drivers can now travel between Hambakbong-ro and Children’s Grand Park in Busanjin-gu district in only 10 minutes. The tunnel, which has no tolls, is expected to alleviate traffic congestion at Mandeok Tunnels 1 and 2, which link the eastern and western parts of Busan. Commuters can now look forward to reduced travel times and improved accessibility within the city.
