3rd Busan Architecture Film Festival

건축영화제

The 3rd Busan Architecture Film Festival will take place from Sept. 11 to 14. Films will be screened at the Cinematheque in the Busan Cinema Center in Haeundae-gu district.

The theme of the festival is “Communication,” and festival organizers hope to express the meaning and social value of architecture through film. Six films will have multiple showings throughout the festival period.

Highlights of the festival include Swiss director Christoph Schaub’s “Architecture of Infinity” (2018), which examines how architecture expresses spirituality; “Plan for Buenos Aires,” a 2022 film from Gerardo Panero that traces famed architect Le Corbusier’s desire to transform the Argentinian city; and Mariko Shibatani’s “Tadao Ando: Words for the Next Generation” (2020), which follows world-renowned architect Tadao Ando as he takes on his latest project, a children’s library.

Tickets for each screening are limited and can be booked through festival website.
