Busan and Paris Baguette launch a new Boogi cake
Boogi, the city’s seagull mascot, is ready to help you party!
A new Boogi-themed chocolate cake is now available at Paris Baguette franchises nationwide. The cake, called “Boogi gonna do it!” is a collaboration between Busan City and the international bakery chain.
The cake was first launched last August and sold exclusively in some franchises around Busan, Ulsan and Gyeondo provinces. The Boogi cake proved to be quite popular as it the highest selling cake in the area.
The chocolate cake is decorated with Boogi and camellia flowers, Busan’s official flower. Paris Baguette made an exclusive box for the special cake, featuring Boogi and wishes for the Busan World Expo.
Paris Baguette will donate a portion of Boogie cake sales to The Community Chest of Busan, which provides scholarships for students in need.
The city and the company expect the popularity of Boogi cakes to boost citizens’ interest in the World Expo before the BIE decides the host city in November.
