Busan City is recruiting candidates for the Busan Global Children’s English Teacher Training Program. The application period is open from Jan. 7 to 17. Individuals who successfully pass the screening process will take a free training course to develop teaching skills that resonate with young learners.
Classes will be held four times a week from Feb. 4 to 28. Participants will learn how to effectively teach English to children and gain practical classroom experience. Those who complete the program can teach English at one of the Deullak Nallak children’s centers citywide.
Deullak Nallak, meaning "In and Out," are vibrant cultural hubs scattered across the city where families can enjoy a variety of enriching experiences. Part library, part play space, Deullak Nallak offers books, reading areas, cultural events, educational activities and media art installations.
The city is recruiting 30 people, 15 Koreans and 15 foreign residents. Korean applicants must have a bachelor’s degree from a four-year accredited university. Those who have a TOEIC score of 850 or higher or a TOEFL score of 90 or higher will be prioritized.
Foreign applicants must be native speakers from an English-speaking country; hold an F2, F4 or F6 long-term resident visa; and have a bachelor’s degree from a four-year accredited university.
If the number of qualified applicants exceeds the number of available positions, candidates will be selected through language proficiency tests and other screening methods.
Interested individuals can find more information and apply on the Busan Global Village website (bgv.co.kr).
