Two hospitals in Busan will offer after-hours pediatric care. W365 Medical Clinic in Nam-gu District began extended operations on April 14, while Ilshin Christian Hospital in Dong-gu District will begin its after-hours program on April 21.

Both hospitals will eventually join Busan’s Dalbit Children’s Hospital network, an association of medical centers that provides after-hours, pediatric outpatient care for non-emergency conditions.

At night, on weekends and on holidays, parents are encouraged to bring their sick children to a hospital in the Dalbit Children’s network rather than to an emergency room. The network provides parents with reliable access to pediatric care while helping reduce ER congestion.

In addition, a visit to a Dalbit Children’s Hospital is often preferable to an ER visit because it is a more affordable care option, features shorter wait times and allows expert pediatricians to provide the specialized care children require.
