이진준(1974- )은 기술과 생태학적 논의를 바탕으로 식물의 화학 작용을 소리화하는 등 Data, XR, AI 등 새로운 과학 기술 기반 매체를 예술에 적용해왔다.
〈블라인드 사운드 인 사운드 미러스 - ‘어디에나 있는 하지만 어디에도 없는’시리즈〉(2017)는 르네상스 시대의 거장 피에르 디 코시모(Piero di Cosimo, 1462-1522)의 대표작을 모티브로 인간이 추구한 이상적 낙원과 자연에 대한 지배욕이 빚은 비극과 갈등을 재해석해 시각화한 작품이다. 작품 속 이미지는 전형적인 픽쳐레스크 풍경 지역인 영국 켄터 지방을 촬영한 장면, 그리고 제1차 세계대전 시기 영국에 설치된 콘크리트 레이드 구조물 ‘사운드 미러’ 이미지를 병치해 구성한 것이다. 역사적 재앙이 일어났던 장소들을 촬영한 영상들을 결합하는 비디오 콜라주 기법은 자연과 인간의 이상적인 관계라 일컬어지는 유토피아적 세계로서 목가적인 풍경과는 대비되는 도시화의 역사와 현재의 인상을 투사하며 동시대 환경 문제를 직접적으로 시사한다.

Blind Sound in Sound Mirrors - Nowhere in Somewhere Series (2017) is a visual reinterpretation of the tragedy and conflict born of humanity‘s desire for paradise and dominion over nature, inspired by the masterpieces of the Renaissance genius Piero di Cosimo (1462-1522). The artwork combines scenes showcasing a typically picturesque landscape in the county of Kent, England, along with images of concrete “Sound Mirrors” installed across the country during World War I. The video collage technique, combining videos taken at the locations of historical disasters, confronts contemporary environmental issues by contrasting the history and present of urbanization with the idyllic landscape representing the utopian ideal of the relationship between nature and humanity.
